Derbyn Gwobr AIM / Receiving the AIM Award

Mewn digwyddiad mawreddog yn y Roundhouse, Camden, Llundain (Nos Fawrth 23 Medi), fe gipiodd Popeth y wobr am yr Artist Annibynnol Newydd a Gafodd ei Chwarae Fwyaf.

Mae’r seremoni yn cael ei disgrifio fel y ‘Brit Awards’ ar gyfer labeli ac artisitiaid annibynnol.

Dywedodd Ynyr: “Roedd derbyn yr enwebiad ar gyfer Gwobr AIM yn golygu gymaint i mi, ar y cam cynnar hwn o daith Popeth. Mae cael y clôd o ennill y wobr wedyn yn hollol anhygoel! Dwi’n gobeithio y bydd y sylw wedi mi gipio’r wobr yn creu cyfleoedd ar gyfer mwy o gydweithio a chyfansoddi cerddoriaeth newydd gyffrous yn y dyfodol.”

Ychwanega Ywain Gwynedd, sylfaenydd Recordiau Côsh: “Artist sy’n cynhyrchu alawon pop bachog ydi Popeth. Mae’r rhan fwyaf o’r caneuon wedi rhoi cyfleoedd i artistiaid newydd ganu a serennu ar y traciau, gan ddefnyddio’r gân fel sylfaen i ddechrau gyrfa eu hunain fel artistiaid unigol. Mae’r ethos hwn o gydweithio, a rhoi cyfle i artistiaid eraill i leisio’r caneuon, wedi gwneud Popeth yn artist difyr i’w dilyn - rydyn ni’n edrych ymlaen at weld beth fydd yn digwydd nesa!”

Popeth, the pop music project fronted by composer and producer Ynyr Roberts, won the award for Most Played New Independent Artist at a prestigious event at the Roundhouse, Camden, London (Tuesday 23 September)

The ceremony is described as the ‘Brit Awards’ for independent labels and artists.

Ynyr described that “receiving the nomination for the AIM Award meant so much, at this early stage of Popeth’s journey. To have the credit of winning the award afterwards is absolutely incredible! I hope the attention after I have won the award will create opportunities for more collaboration and composing exciting new music in the future.”

Ywain Gwynedd of Côsh Records adds: “Popeth is an artist that produces catchy pop melodies.

Most composition have also given emerging artists opportunities to star on the tracks and to use the song as a springboard to launch their own career as solo artists. This ethos of collaboration and showcasing such amazing, and sometimes unheard, voices is what makes Popeth such an interesting act to follow - we’re looking forward to see what Popeth will do next!”
